A small island to the south of India, Sri Lanka is famous for its diverse landscape, its rain forests, the culture and the cuisine. The Sri Lanka tour package is a 13-days long tour, the first day involves travelling from UK to Colombo, Sri Lanka. Once in Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo, you will travel to Horothapola Estate. Away from the hustle bustle and the noise of the city. It is a coconut estate, where you can relax and explore the gardens. You can go around the city and enjoy at leisure. On the fourth day, you move on to the next destination, which is Dambulla, it lies in the central province, and is the centre of vegetable distribution in the country. It holds a place of importance in Sri Lankan culture, as it has ruins dating back to 2000 years ago. It is a bliss for those interested in visiting historic places and exploring them. All the heritage and the ruins are marked by UNESCO are world heritage sights. The most popular sights are Dambulla cave temples, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is centrally located and contain statues and paintings related to Gautam Buddha, there are 153 Buddha statues in all, 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of local gods and goddesses. It is also believed that pre-historic man would have occupied these caves as there are burial sights with skeletons about 2700 years ago. You can also visit the Sigiriya rock fortress and Polonnaruwas ruins. In Sri Lanka, the most ancient and still in use mode of transportation is on Bullock cart. It sure is going to be an unforgettable experience and one of the most enjoyable rides. On the way you can also stop at the Pinnawela elephant orphanage, and mingle with the elephants. Day 6 and 7, you will be spending your in Kandy city, and will live a lavish and an exorbitant life. There you will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which is a famous Buddhist temple, and houses the relic of Buddha’s tooth, and will attend the Kandyan traditional dance performance. You will also visit the headquarters of Lord Mountbatten, the Botanical Gardens. There you will get time to explore the city at your pace and see the arts and crafts centres, the markets and interact with the locals. The next two days, you will be taking one of Asia’s most scenic train journeys from Kandy to the hill station. Up there you can stroll around the tea plantation gardens, or enjoy golf at the oldest Golf course in Asia. After relaxing in the mountains and enjoying the cool air, you head down to Yala, before which you halt and witness the mesmerizing water falls of Ella. Yala is a wildlife area and you will have a priceless opportunity of camping in the buffer zone of the Yala National Park and enjoy the jeep safaris. The park has large population of leopards, elephants, deer’s, crocodiles and other animals. The last 2 days of the Sri Lanka holidays, you head to the south west to enjoy the beach life, while halting at the historic town of Galle, which has one of the best-preserved Old Dutch Fort. In South West, you will have the opportunity to choose your preferred beaches from all the idyllic beaches. Day 13 th , the last day of the Sri Lanka travel, you head back, with a suitcase full of memories and unforgettable moments.

    Depart UK for Colombo, Sri Lanka

  • Day 2 & 3

    Arrive in Colombo and transfer to Horothapola Estate, luxury on a working coconut estate far away from the sights and smells of town you could enjoy the sound of nothing to do but relaxing in the garden or exploring the coconut estate

  • Day 4 & 5

    Your next destination Dambulla in the cultural triangle where you will be exploring an history dating back 2000 years of pure culture andmuamp; heritage and most of the ruins here branded as UNESCO world heritage sites. Dambulla cave temples, Sigiriya rock fortress, Polonnaruwa ruins are the main visits you will experience while you stay in an excellent bungalow. When in Sri Lanka be like a Sri Lankan, we will offer you an unforgettable experience of trying out the most economical ancient transportation system on a Bullock Cart. En-route to the cultural triangle you will be stopping at the number one tourist attraction Pinnawela elephant orphanage

  • Day 6 & 7

    The next two days you will be spending in the last heritage capital, and stay in a stylish boutique hotel outside the Kandy city The Kandy House. In the evening visit the famous Temple of the Tooth and a traditional Kandyan dance performance before calling of the day. After breakfast the Botanical Gardens is the place to be, the head quarters of Lord Mountbatten and plenty of time to wonder around Kandy and see the arts and craft centers, market etc..

  • Day 8 & 9

    The scenic train journey from Kandy to hill station is considered to be one of Asias great train rides with spectacular views throughout. In the hills you can do “Tea Experience”, which involves a visit to a working tea plantation or play a round of Golf that is the oldest Golf Course in Asia or stroll in the grounds of the hotel or relax on the lawn and enjoy the fresh, mountain air.

  • Day 10 & 11

    Head down to the most famous and visited wildlife area Yala, where you will be camping in the buffer zone of the Yala National Park for 2 nights with exclusive jeep safaris. The park is famous for its large population of leopards, as well as countless elephants, deer, crocodiles and the experience at the camping is priceless.Before heading to the wilderness you will have an opportunity to witness some of the beautiful waterfalls in Ella.

  • Day 12 & 13

    After breakfast head to the south west for the beach part of the tour passing picture postcard beaches idyllic bays. Stop at the historic old world charm town of Galle. One of the best preserved Old Dutch Fort (1640) in Asia.South west of Sri Lanka consists of some of the best beaches and you have the opportunity to choose your preferred beaches.
