    ARRIVE COLOMBO - NEGOMBO On arrival to Sri Lanka you will be transferred to your accommodation in Negombo, the fishing village to relax your jet legs. Negombo’s long and wide beaches are located to the north of the town and local bars and restaurants selling freshly caught seafood line the beach along with a mix of hotels catering to various budgets.

  • DAY 03

     PINNAWELA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE / DAMBULLA After breakfast, leave for Dambulla. En route visit the ever popular elephant orphanage in Pinnawela, set in a pretty riverside location, this is home to about 70 Elephants- the largest group of orphaned Elephants in the world! Most have been found injured or abandoned in the wild. Baby calves, some only a few weeks old are fed by bottle and the whole herd is then bathed in the adjoining river. A visit to the elephant orphanage is a highlight for many visitors to Sri Lanka. In the afternoon visit Dambulla Rock Temple. Dating from the 1st century B.C., this World Heritage Site has been a place of pilgrimage for 22 centuries.

  • DAY 04

    POLONNARUWA THE MEDIEVAL CAPITAL After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, Polonnaruwa is another World Heritage Site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya (4 huge statues of Buddha carved out of rock), the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, King Parakramabahu's statue, and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. In the evening optional Elephant back safari or a private jeep safari to Minneriya National Park

  • DAY 05 - SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS / KANDY

    After breakfast leave for Kandy. En-route visit the very impressive 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress. Arrive in Kandy, a World Heritage Site and once capital of the Sinhalese Kandyan kingdom, Kandy is the religious capital of Sri Lanka. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Sri Lanka's most important religious relic, the sacred tooth of Buddha and see a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.
