One of Sri Lanka’s ancient kingdom and UNESCO World Heritage site, the lion rock fortress of Sigiriya, Golden Cave temple of Dambulla, the medieval capital Polonnaruwa are few of the must-visit places in the Lanka trip package. You can explore these places on your own free pace and learn a few interesting facts about it as well. We also recommend an exclusive Jeep safari through Minneriya National park, which is spectacular and a part of the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Day 5 & 6, involves traveling to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. The Kandy House is a very romantic hotel, with exemplifying architecture. After checking in, you can tour around Kandy and familiarize with the ancient heritage and explore the city. Temple of Tooth, it is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites of Buddhist. Daily at dawn, midday and evening, religious services with much grandeur are held, and even the guests can participate in these rituals. There are beautiful botanical gardens with around 300 varieties of orchards, and Lord Mountbatten’s famous South East Asia Command Headquarters were located inside these gardens during World War II. You can stroll around the gardens and feel your senses elevate with the sweet perfume of the flowers. The 7th and 8th day of the tour include traveling through the tea estates, mountains, gushing waterfalls and scenic beauty either by car or the great train with the mesmerizing views through Ceylon Tea Trails. Enjoy the chill air, explore the tea estates and live the life to the fullest. On the 2 nd last day, you travel to Kitulgala, via 2 famous waterfalls called St. Charles and Devon. After which you can shop and dine at the finest restaurants in Colombo. Day 5 & 6
Kandy The journey from the cultural triangle to the small lakeside city of Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. Relax among tea plantations of the hill country or experience the “Tea” which involves a visit to a tea plantation to observe the first hand process or enjoy few high teas and games of croquet on the perfectly manicured lawns.The four Tea Trails bungalows are scattered around the Bogawantalwa valley which is one of the most beautiful locations in the country and you are welcome to experience and dine at each bungalow while your stay.
